The KLX 230 SM SE Double Light is the supermoto build: 233cc single, 19 HP, road wheels and dual-purpose tyres instead of the trail bike’s knobblies. Light, tall and forgiving — the bike that shrugs off broken tarmac.

Riding feel

The supermoto setup is the point. Wide bars and a tall seat give leverage a scooter cannot, so the potholed lanes behind Canggu and the gravel on the way to a waterfall stop being obstacles. It will not win a drag race, but on the roads that punish other bikes it is the one you want.

For town and active tarmac riding with manual experience. Not for dirt or long distance.
