The Honda CBR500R White is a 471cc parallel-twin sport bike in white with red accents, fitted with ABS and an aftermarket slip-on exhaust. 47 HP, a six-speed gearbox and a proper sport riding position — a middleweight that feels like a full supersport on Bali’s coastal roads without the weight or the fuel bill of a 600.

The twin pulls cleanly from low revs, so it is easy in traffic, and it comes alive from six thousand up. The slip-on gives it a deeper note than the stock CBR without being loud at idle. Brakes with ABS are strong and predictable; the seat is sporty but not extreme, so two or three hours in the saddle are fine. On the bypass it cruises at 100 km/h with plenty in reserve.

For riders with a few years on a manual who want a fast, good-looking bike for Uluwatu, the east coast and the mountain roads — and for photos, the white bodywork stands out. Not a first bike and not a two-up tourer: the passenger seat is a perch.
