Yamaha NMAX 155 rental price in Bali by rental length
All our NMAX 155 units are priced the same; the colour is the only difference. What changes the price is how long you rent. A 3–6 day rental costs 250,000 IDR per day, 7–14 days costs 175,000 IDR per day, and a month costs 2,500,000 IDR, which is about 83,000 IDR per day. Two rules worth knowing. A rental never costs more than the monthly rate: if you need the scooter for 25 days, you pay the month price, not 25 × the weekly per-day rate. And the price is the same whether you collect the NMAX at the Kerobokan office or we deliver it to your villa, so delivery does not quietly change the per-day figure. The price for your exact dates is confirmed on WhatsApp before you pay anything.
What the NMAX rental includes
Every rental comes with two helmets and a phone holder on the bars, so you can navigate without holding the phone. Servicing during the rental is done in our own workshop at the Kerobokan office: oil changes, brake pads, a tyre that has picked up a nail. If the bike needs attention, you message us, and we either fix it while you wait or give you another bike for the time it takes.
Not included: fuel, parking fees and the optional damage protection. The NMAX runs on Pertamax 92 or better; Pertalite is not allowed on any of our bikes.
Damage protection comes in two levels. With MAX you pay the deposit or deductible plus 5% of the rest of the repair; with MIN you pay the deposit plus 30%. Protection covers the rented bike only, not people or third parties, and only if the accident is reported from the scene, the rider is sober and the rider is the person named in the contract.
Deposit and documents
The deposit is refundable and comes back in the same currency you paid it in, cash or transfer, when the scooter is returned in the condition described in the contract. The amount depends on the bike and the protection level you choose, and we tell you the figure before you pay.
To rent, a passport is enough. To ride legally in Indonesia you need your national licence with the motorcycle category plus an International Driving Permit; the NMAX is 155cc, so a car-only licence does not cover it. If you do not have an IDP, we can help arrange one through our partner International Drivers Association, so ask on WhatsApp before you arrive.
Who the NMAX suits, and who should pick something else
The NMAX 155 is the scooter we suggest when someone says they want to ride around the south, go to Uluwatu or Ubud for the day and sometimes carry a passenger. Fifteen horsepower is enough to keep up with traffic on the Sunset Road and to climb to Tegallalang with two aboard without the engine screaming. The wheels are bigger than on a Scoopy or Fazzio, which matters on the broken edges of the Pererenan lanes and on the potholes after rain, and the seat is wide enough for a full-size passenger.
- Good fit: couples, riders over about 175 cm who find small scooters cramped, surfers doing the Canggu–Uluwatu run, and anyone staying a month who wants one bike for everything.
- Consider a Honda Scoopy or Yamaha Fazzio instead: if you ride solo on short hops inside Canggu or Seminyak, want the lightest bike to park in a crowded row and are not bothered by small wheels.
- Consider a Honda ADV 160 instead: if your villa is down a rough lane, you plan to ride in the rainy season a lot or you want more ground clearance for the puddles that hide holes.
- Consider a Yamaha XMAX 250 instead: if two adults plus luggage are riding to Amed or Lovina and back; the NMAX will do it, but the 250 does it with less effort.
One honest limit: the NMAX stays on tarmac. Beach access tracks, gravel and volcano trails are for our enduro bikes (Honda CRF150L, Kawasaki KLX 150 / 230) only; a maxi-scooter on sand is a fall waiting to happen.
NMAX 155 or Honda PCX 160: the short version
These two are the Bali default and most people are happy on either. The Honda PCX 160 has a slightly bigger engine on paper (157cc, 16 HP against 155cc and 15 HP), a lower and longer seat and a softer, more relaxed feel; the Yamaha NMAX 155 sits a little more upright, feels tighter in corners and is the one riders with a motorcycle background usually prefer. Under the seat both take a helmet. On price, most of our PCX 160 units are a little cheaper per day on the monthly rate than the NMAX, so if the budget is tight and you do not care which badge is on the front, the PCX saves money over a month; if you want the firmer handling and the sportier look, the NMAX is worth the difference. If you are torn, sit on both at the office before you sign.
Where we deliver the NMAX
You can collect at the office on Jl. Raya Semer No. 38, Kerobokan, open 09:00–20:00, or send us your address on WhatsApp +62 812 2885 3301 and we bring the bike to you; deliveries run 10:00–19:00. Delivery and pickup are free within 20 km of the office on rentals of 3 days or more, which covers Canggu, Berawa, Pererenan, Seminyak, Kerobokan, Legian, Kuta, Jimbaran, Sanur and Denpasar.
Nusa Dua is usually free, but a few addresses are beyond 20 km, so we check the pin first. Ubud and Uluwatu are free if within 20 km and otherwise 200,000 IDR. Airport delivery is 200,000 IDR. Anywhere else in Bali — Tabanan and the west coast, Bedugul, Munduk, Lovina, Amed, Sidemen, Candidasa, Padangbai — we deliver, and the fee depends on distance and rental length; we confirm it on WhatsApp before you pay. For rentals under 3 days delivery is paid, with the price confirmed before booking.
At handover the driver brings the contract, checks your passport, photographs the bike with you and hands over the helmets and phone holder. Allow about 15 minutes.
Two-up riding, storage and living with the NMAX
With a passenger the NMAX behaves well as long as both of you sit still in corners and the rider brakes earlier than solo. The passenger has proper grab handles and footboards, which is not true of every small scooter. Two adults plus two backpacks is the practical limit; for a surfboard you need a side rack, which we can discuss when you book.
Storage is the NMAX's quiet advantage. The compartment under the seat takes one full-face helmet or a daypack, a laptop sleeve and a rain jacket, and it locks with the ignition, so you can leave the helmet in the bike rather than carrying it into a café.
If you want to change bikes during the rental — to a bigger scooter for a trip, or to something smaller once you know your routes — a swap costs 100,000 IDR for washing and preparing the bike; moving to a pricier model you pay the difference, moving to a cheaper one the rental price stays.

Is the Yamaha NMAX good for two people?
