Amed is a string of fishing villages below Mount Agung, and Tulamben is where divers come for the USAT Liberty wreck. A bike is the easiest way to move between the bays and dive sites.
The Amed coast is a line of small bays — Jemeluk, Bunutan, Lipah, Selang, Aas — joined by one road that winds over steep headlands. Tulamben, 30–40 minutes north, is a shore-dive village built around the USAT Liberty wreck. Divers, freedivers and snorkellers come here, along with people who want a quiet coast and big views of Mount Agung.
We deliver to Amed and Tulamben: it is outside our free zone, so the fee depends on the distance and the length of the rental and is confirmed on WhatsApp before you pay. You can also pick the bike up at our Kerobokan office (open daily 09:00–20:00) and ride east — 3–3.5 hours from Canggu via Klungkung and Amlapura. It is a long first day, so break it up with a stop in Candidasa or at Tirta Gangga.
To rent you only need a passport. To ride legally in Indonesia you need your national licence with the motorcycle category plus an International Driving Permit; we help arrange the IDP through our partner International Drivers Association.
For hopping between dive sites on your own, a 150cc+ scooter is the right size: Yamaha NMAX 155, Honda PCX 160 or Yamaha Aerox 155. The Honda ADV 160 is the easiest on the broken patches and steep headland ramps and copes well with two people. A 125cc scooter with two riders and dive bags struggles on the climbs between the bays.
For the long ride from the south, or a loop through Tirta Gangga and Sidemen, take an adventure bike: Honda CB150X, Honda CB500X or Kawasaki Versys 650. Bikes of 150–250cc need at least Pertamax 92, bigger bikes Pertamax Turbo 98 — fill up in the larger towns on the way, not on the coast.

Two helmets and a phone holder are included with every rental; insurance is optional. Prices for 1–2 days and 13–29 days are on each bike page and in the full price list.
Scooters start from 200,000 IDR per day, and monthly rentals from 2,000,000 IDR. A month never costs more than the monthly rate, so a long dive trip works out much cheaper per day. Every rental includes two helmets and a phone holder.
Yes. Amed and Tulamben are outside our free zone, so the delivery fee depends on the distance and the rental length and is confirmed on WhatsApp before you pay. Deliveries run 10:00–19:00. Or pick the bike up in Kerobokan and ride east yourself.

Yes, it takes 30–40 minutes via Culik. Ride in daylight, watch for sand trucks and spilled sand on the corners, and park on the road — riding on beaches and sand is prohibited by the rental contract.
Mostly bottled fuel along the coast, which is usually Pertalite and not allowed in our bikes. Fill up at a Pertamina station in Amlapura on the way in, and top up whenever you pass a station.
