Nusa Dua is built around the gated ITDC resort area: wide, clean roads, large hotels, the Bali Collection shopping centre and very little traffic inside the gates. Tanjung Benoa, the narrow peninsula to the north, is lined with water-sports centres and smaller hotels. Most people here are on a family holiday or at a conference, and a bike is the easiest way out of the resort bubble to the beaches of the Bukit.

A passport is all you need to rent. To ride legally in Indonesia you need your national licence with the motorcycle category plus an International Driving Permit; we can help you arrange an IDP through our partner International Drivers Association.
Inside the resort area and along Tanjung Benoa a Honda Scoopy or Yamaha Fazzio 125 is all you need. For two people riding to Uluwatu or across the toll road, a Yamaha NMAX 155, Honda PCX 160 or Yamaha XMAX 250 gives more comfort, stability and storage.
The Bukit coast roads suit bigger bikes: a Honda CB500X or Kawasaki Versys 650 for relaxed rides with a passenger, a Kawasaki Ninja 650 or Honda CBR650R for riders who enjoy the bends, and a Honda Rebel 500 for an easy cruise to Uluwatu for sunset.

Scooters start from 200,000 IDR per day, and a month on a scooter starts from 2,000,000 IDR. Long rentals are much cheaper per day, and a month never costs more than the monthly rate.
